Beach Adventure- Mozambique Overview

It’s called sheer relaxation under the African sun, as we journey 35kms north of the vibrant capital city of Maputo, to a little town called Marracuene. This is where your beach adventure begins, right at the mouth of the Incomati River which passes through Swaziland and South Africa, before reaching the Indian Ocean. Our trip will take us through one of the largest traditional open-air markets in Mocambique, a colourful hive of activity as daily trade takes place in high spirits. From Marracuene, we board a ferry, and travel slowly across the Incomati River, marvelling at the sight of the traditional colourful Dhows as they make their way towards the Ocean.
But for us, we’re soon on a beautiful beach, and we’re catching a little African sunshine. From where we are, it’s possible to spot whales or dolphins, and it’s absolutely certain we’ll be ordering and relishing the famous, fabulous Mocambican seafood lunch (own account). And for those with stamina after a decadent day in the sun, why not be adventurous and hire a quad bike to do a little sightseeing among the sand dunes. It’s great fun and it’s good exercise....well, for those who can move off their beach towels! A day at the beach in Mocambique....a little bit of heaven.
