Eastern Shores Game Drive Overview
Our open safari vehicle awaits you good and early, to ensure we’re in the Eastern Shores Game Reserve in those magical early hours when many of the animals are returning from hunting, looking to bed down. This reserve is set alongside the little town of St Lucia, between Lake St Lucia and the Indian Ocean, and you have a good opportunity of spotting rhino, elephant, buffalo, samango monkey, bushbuck, reedbuck, suni, side-striped jackal, and the beautiful, elusive leopard. The region has numerous other general game species, an enchanting range of birdlife, and an opportunity to see game not normally seen elsewhere. The landscape is largely open grasslands, so keen photographers have unimpeded views for those award-winning photographs. Three hours in the Reserve, many many more memories.

St Lucia Turtle Tour Overview
In all likelihood, it’s once in a lifetime, so don’t even consider missing it. As the evening begins to fall, we set out on a quiet night drive on the beach to seek out, but never disturb, the leatherback and loggerhead turtles returning to their birthplace to lay their eggs; later in the season, we’re able to see the hatchlings making their desperate and dangerous dash for the ocean. Our evening expedition includes a night drive through the Eastern Shores Game Reserve, on to the beach, and – if all possible – a stealthy walk on the sand. We’ve packed our own refreshments and snacks, so it promises to be as convivial an evening as it’s likely to be thrilling.

Eastern Shores Sundowner Safari Overview
It’s late afternoon in the Eastern Shores Game Reserve, and we’re exploring roads less travelled in our pursuit of those animals which begin to move later in the day. With luck, we’ll find what we’re looking for, from a vast rhino to the exquisite leopard. And just as the sun begins to sink, we’ll stop our open safari game vehicle and alight in time to catch the breathtaking spectacle of the African sunset. To smooth its journey, we serve chilled sundowners – beer, wine and cooldrinks on us! You won’t forget that sunset.
